Hot Cider String Band is an eclectic mostly family-band playing fiddle tunes from around the world and signing great old time, bluegrass and contemporary folk tunes. You'll find them playing for contra and square dances, and performing at festivals and music camps around the Northwest. Great musicianship, fine harmonies, sit back and enjoy.
Bio
It all started when Evan, then 5, lost interest in the Suzuki Method and got hooked on fiddling with Stuart Williams. One thing led to another, and before we knew it, mom had dusted off the old guitar to back up Evan, and his sister Elise decided she wanted to play fiddle too. Then we jammed with with 14 yo bass player RuthMabel at fiddle tunes one year, added a few more instruments to the list (including guitar and mandolin for Evan) and attended many more fiddle camps and music lessons, and there you have it! A mostly family (but all good friend) string band!
